Our aim is simple - make delicious desserts. Our desserts draw on the classics we all loved as kids but present them in a fun and elevated way that never strays too far from the familiar.

The Dynamic Duo
Genesee and Jacob, high-school sweethearts, now loving husband and wife, are a dynamic duo that believe all great food should be shared with people you love.
Since they first got together long ago, they have always talked about opening their own restaurant to be able to share their love of food and passion for great hospitality. While there may not be a brick and mortar spot for them yet, Bear and the Blossom is the first step in sharing their wonderful food with Santa Cruz County, the SF Bay Area and more.

Growing up in the wine country of Sonoma County, to living near one of the largest farming communities in the country, Gensee and Jacob have never been far away from great local ingredients.
Bear and the Blossom prides itself on taking advantage of the great abundance of wonderful seasonal and local ingredients for the best final product. From the perfect summer Watsonville Strawberry to the respite a bright Meyer Lemon brings in winter, our menu will always represent what the best nature has in store.
